The Adfero blog has launched at blog.directnews.co.uk – a side project from the folks at adfero. There are mixed review about adfero. They provide a news service, mainly for clients who are looking to publish relevant, topical, current news on their websites to help with SEO.
The quality of the content is hit and miss and often includes regurgitated news from a variety of sources. But that’s what most of news is these days – just look at the SEO crowd(!)

And their contracts are a little on the tough side.
While they quote on a month by month basis the first invoice will be for 12 months in advance.
Considering so many businesses would consider this as a financially friendly alternative to PAYE staff it is not the smartest move.
Oh and they have a habit of dropping links back to their site and including the right to in their contract.

No – this part isn’t true – there is an optional (C) footer which did include some tracking for performance but beyond that this doesn’t happen – clients get the content which they can do with pretty much what they want to, the links in the code are usually optimised links for the clients benefit.
