This ad campaign is brilliant. It does not use sex to titillate , does not show a total disregard for decent morals and behaviour like others. Do you like the Galaxy ad? If your wife was sitting around watching the box and said “I could use a snack”? What would you do? Go and DISCUSS the bowl size with utterly rude American chocolates or tell her she could get it herself??

And how can people complain about the ‘song’ it was one of the best songs during the war. “Johnny get your gun”.

I was surprise to read this man was an opera singer. His off key singing has deteriorated with every new advert. He is certainly no Pavaroti. I am very fond of opera, when it is pleasnt to the ear. But having to put up with this tuneless racket leads me to believe I am being punished for something terrible I did in a previous life.

TO ALL THE ADVERSE COMMENTS RE GO COMPARE. THE ORIGINAL SONG WAS COMPSED DURING THE FIRST WORLD WAR WHEN AMERICA CAME INTO IT. THE SONG IS CALLED “OVER THERE” AND WAS RECORDED AMONG OTHERS BY CARUSO AND JOHN MCCORMACK. LAST LINE IS “AND WE WONT COME BACK TILL ITS OVER ,OVER THERE!

well what can you say about these adverts, not a lot really as they must be the most mind numbingly insulting commercials ever to hit the british tv screens, event racist and sexist in some cases, as the first one implied ‘he’s only a tenor’, just give him a fiver and get this bilge off our screens.

the gocompere advert isvery amusing and what a lovely voice gio has he,s a very good opera singer, and if there were more adverts like this one i would not get so bored.
