Solon-based Insurance.com has been sold to a California Internet marketing company, which will shut down the company’s Solon office and will eliminate 144 positions over the next year.

Debate for ever on generic advantages, bottom line linguistics evolve slowly. Marketing budgets are a huge cost, I will take the generic advantage anytime. Think on having bought the .in cctld & .com 4 autoinsurance lifeinsurance healthinsurance from some chap in India for 15 / 20k to develop an SEO stratagy. The fledgling markets will all follow the North American model.

insurance.com is a marketing and software company with 140 employees. They have sold over 1 million insurance policies. They bought more than just the domain name. To bad the current company could do good marketing.
