Well, today they disapeared from the UK SERPS for the term “creditcards”. And also they puchased a company called broadband-help and they were 3rd for the term broadband. Thats now gone from the SERPS.

What I find “somewhat interesting” is a site like thriftyscot being on the same page (or maybe page 2 for certain competitive terms) as ME, MSM, etc.

They may not get the same traffic but they’re right up there with these guys none the less. Wonder if they use DP and I hardly doubt they have a £million+ seo budget.

I’d say I first noticed ME spamming their way to the top a year ago. That’s just when I noticed, who knows how long it’s been and they’re still there so. They’re beating Google somehow!

One more thing, what added value are moneyexpert bringing to the table with a white-labled version of confused.com?

They’ve tried to disguise this by creating a kind of dummy 1st data capture screen for new quotes, but a couple clicks down the line and you end up on the confused.com domain.

Like Si Williams said above, I think google are trying to fight this, i’ve seen a few prolific dp network spammers suffer in recent weeks, three.co.uk for mobile phones, flightfind.co.uk for cheap flights etc.

Thisismoney.co.uk for loans and obviously moneyexpert are bouncing around for their terms.

I think the clock is ticking.

Just looking at backlinks on yahoo and moneyexperts car insurance page is showing 6 million backlinks………. wow
