Can you clear up what you mean by data?
Defaqto supply them with car insurance data (amongst other areas) which includes things like european car cover, excess amounts etc. per policy.
This allows them to do their ‘compare’ bit.
And you wonder why Defaqto awarded TescoCompare as the “best overall service to customers”. I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine!!!
George any idea if there is a European equivalent of Defaqto in the markets, I would like to find a partner for the Italian assicurazione comparison market
@Peter, I’m unaware of a European equivalent. This could be due to the slightly fractured nature of brokers/aggregators in these markets. Could be an opportunity…

Thanks George, Unfortunately defaqto are not in Europe yet. Interestingly the head of an Italian VC mailed me to to say “the online insurance market in Italy could be very profitable. A similar company working in loan online intermediation (www.mutuionline.it) funded by Italian venture capitalist has been recently listed on Italian stock market with excellent results, If you Know someone who want to make a company in this field, please let me know. I will be very glad to evaluate that business plan” Knowing the history IYO in SEO terms will the strategy of
developed stand alone sites will work ?
